Is that your real name?
Yes. Yeah, I know it sounds a lot like Demon Lord, which would be an even better name for a dark fiction writer like me. but it's not that. It's Damon Lord. And not Damien/Damian, either. So you can stop The Omen wisecracks now. I've heard it all before!
Do you have an agent?
Not yet. Although if you are a legitimate literary agent reading this website, you are interested in my work and would like to get in touch, contact details are below.
Where do you get your ideas from?
All around. Look around you; everything and everyone has a story, and thinking about things can inspire a story. It's a matter of asking questions of yourself. One piece I was working on was an alternate history; it was inspired by a throwaway line I read in a history textbook which said about an event that things might have gone very differently if a different plan was used, or something along those lines. I started to speculate on what would actually have happened if a different plan had indeed been used....
Here's a few links to articles on where to get ideas for stories:

Yes. Write. Write a lot. And keep at it, every day.
Coupled with this is reading a lot. Make sure you read a wide variety of things, lots of authors, lots of genres.
And get involved with a site like Forward Motion.
I've got this idea for a story/poem/book/play/etc.; why don't I tell you my idea, you write it, and then we'll split the profits?
Hmm, 50% of the money for doing most of the work? Daydreaming/coming up with ideas ain't easy, so good on ye for having an idea, but creating the ideas is a damned-side easier than writing, namely turning the idea into words, words, words, so I'd be doing most of the work. And then, when I've spent a hellish long time on it, you might not like my words, and tell me not to use it. Thanks, but no thanks.
Here's a much better idea; have an idea of mine:
It's the end of the world and there are only three people left on planet Earth, sat in a red car.
You take that idea and run with it, write it, but here's the rub: because it's my idea, I get 50% of any money you earn. And if I don't like it when you're done, you can't utilise it. It could mean that you've wasted every evening typing for a year to complete it, but them's the rules, sure as eggs is eggs. Doesn't seem so fair now, does it?
I tell you what: if you've got an idea of your own, keep it to yourself. Nurture it, develop it, use it. You're welcome to it, it may well be a good one that'll make you popular, so do the work and the writing yourself and you take 100% of the money you earn. If you would indeed like to give me 50% of your earnings then, I'll gladly take it off your hands. I'd then earn money for doing no work. I like the sound of that.
Who designed your site?
Any criticisms and compliments on the web design are to be directed solely to me. I'm not a pro when it comes to web design, so I'm pretty happy with what I've got going on here. I took a template from blogger.com and manipulated it until I got what I wanted, and I'm rather satisfied with what I've got here at the moment.
